Marbury v Madison, McCulloch v Maryland; and Gibbons v Ogden are the essential three: Virtually all case law is determined in part on precedents established in one or more of these three.

  1. Menard K says:

Well, two cases that stand out for me as truly landmark case
    Brown v. board of education
    Dred scott V. Sanford
and of course miranda V. arizona
is good also, however, may I recommend that you take a look at ALL of these cases
This will not involve that much time and it will be time well spent because YOU will have the material in front of you to decide what cases you will write about.

History was NOT my best subject in school, and really from talking to people, I can guess that History was NOT a favorite subject for the vast majority of students. … oh well.. do what you can with what you have …. anyhow – he who will not learn from HISTORY is DOOMED to REPEAT IT!.
